Data Strategies Int'l Security Solutions has a dedicated facility for cleansing large quantities of disk drives, managing the inventory and process to ensure that every disk unit receives its proper data cleansing.

DiskGenie-Sanitizer tool overwrites the drives to Department of Defense (DoD) 5220-22-M 3 pass standards. As a result, your data is is essentially irretrievable. Our tool creates a detailed log of the process and generates alert-messages if any sector on a given drive cannot be overwritten. For your convenience, Data Strategies will certify that the overwrite service has been performed for your hard disk in accordance with the DoD requirements.

DiskGenie-Sanitizer tool offers all the following DoD mandated functions and capabilities:

• The ability to purge all data or information, including the OS, from the physical drives, thereby making it impossible to recover any meaningful data by keyboard or laboratory attack.
• A compatibility with, or capability to run independent of, the OS loaded on the hard drive.
• A compatibility with, or capability to run independent of, the type of hard drive being sanitized (e.g., ATA/IDE or SCSI type hard drives).
• A capability to overwrite the entire hard disk drive independent of any BIOS or firmware capacity limitation that the system may have.
• A capability to overwrite using a minimum of three cycles (six passes) of data patterns on all sectors, blocks, tracks, and slack or unused disk space on the entire hard disk medium.
• A method to verify that all data has been removed from the entire hard drive and to view the overwrite pattern.
• Provide the user with a validation certificate indicating that the overwriting procedure was completed properly.
• Provide a defects log, or listing of any bad sectors, that could not be overwritten by the software.
