Often mainframe migration projects, which move mainframe applications to midrange
platforms, involve large amounts of legacy data on tape.
The modernization vendors will, generally, migrate the active data, (databases and
VSAM), themselves.
However, the migration of mainframe tape archives presents special problems, not
the least of which is the fact they are often huge - in the order of tens or hundreds
of terabytes.
For this reason Data Strategies has developed ad-hoc services to perform the analysis
and migration of legacy mainframe data to midrange platforms (or the Cloud).
