Technology
leader
Data
Strategies International, Inc. was founded in October 1987 as a
software engineering and consulting company. With
over eighteen-years of experience, it has become a leading provider
of media conversion, data migration, and data protection and
recovery services to Fortune 500 and Global 1000 companies
that need to convert data from legacy systems using obsolete
tape and optical storage devices to newer platforms.
The
off-line conversion approach
Data Strategies has developed proprietary software products
and services that migrate data from legacy media and/or
applications to new hardware and software platforms. To date,
the Company has focused its efforts on check image archive, medical
image archive, and document archive migration. It has more
recently become a major player in the area of backup data
migration with innovative technology and services.
The Company has the unique capability of performing its
conversion and migration services off-line with no impact on
the client's valuable resources. Significant benefits are
delivered by eliminating the need for any customer floor
space, the use of customer personnel, CPU cycles, and
peripheral devices. This off-line approach is designed
specifically to eliminate the hidden costs often incurred when
performing on-line data migrations and conversions.
Offered services can be performed either at the Customer site
or offsite at Data Strategies' secure facility located in
Houston, Texas.
Business
highlights
Innovation in computer hardware and software industries
continues at a rapid pace, usually yielding increased
processing power and storage capacity at a lower cost.
These continuous improvements create perpetual demand
for applications that enable migration from old technologies
to new ones.
As new generations of digital systems rollout across the
Financial, Energy, and Medical industries, the most
challenging problem is the relentless obsolescence of archival
and retrieval technologies.
To retain access to archived materials, digital
enterprises have no choice but to upgrade.
Devices, processes and software for recording and
storing information are being replaced on a regular three- to
five-year cycle.
Data Strategies exists to fill that growing need.
